BEGIN
Where else?? but
At the beginning
Then follow
On down
Until the END: then
STOP
Of course!!!
(inspired by Lewis Carroll quote)
Gaia: what the *?!!# is THAT!!!!
commission work, ain’t an easy thing to do
especially when iterations make you blue
this here one, was not much fun
glad i was when it got done!
the tubes of hair—too large at first
wire too thick—it made me curse!
i calmed my mind, got back to work
with head at ease, i then rework
persistence finally got me through
i’m pleased—hopefully you are too!
commission two of 3
Metro Cat
For weeks and weeks I fussed then cursed
My mind was trapped and at its worst
No creative thoughts were to be found
My mental state had run aground!

I begged my kitty—help me please
I badly need your expertise!
With Thinking Turban on his nod
Designs soon flew—and none too soon!

And now, let’s see him strut his stuff
With Metro Cat he sure looks tough!
Be bold! Be sharp! Is what I caught
From kitty Gaia’s train of thought
So off I went, to make with zeal
A necklace, of fur and steel
A work of art, that would appeal
To Gaia—and end this ordeal
But no, that would have been too smart
It didn’t work. Tomorrow? Another start.
This is one of Meow’s Favorite Things. . .
Behind a door amongst puffs of dust
The prey awaits kitty cat lust.
Now paw extends, now teeth do grasp
A squirming prize at last.
To life it comes when dropped or flung—
Whole minutes of kitty cat fun!
Play with me! wiggle thing
A happy Meow’s heart shalt sing!

One of Meow’s Favorite Things: Tuna!
I love a-love a-love, my tuna fish!
Out of the can or in my dish.
Its fishy smell and oily taste,
I’ve gotta have it all, there’s none to waste!
Now all’s gone, my belly’s stuffed, I ate too much!
I’m tired now, but I’m a cat and cats must groom—
A tuna scrap! I guess my belly still has room!

These are a few of Meow’s Favorite Things!
Birdies, birdies, flutter and squeak, up in the air,
Fly down, come visit, my kitty cat lair.
All day I watch thee, in yonder sky
And how ye tempt me, bye and bye.
Mine whiskers flick and mouth dost chatter,
A little closer. Please. And rest your wings on empty platter!
And on we go with Meow’s Favorite Things: Cream-colored blankets!
Snug-a-lug-lug,
A little bed bug,
In Missy’s bed,
Under the spread.
Cream-colored flannels,
Nappy and warm,
Enfold and tuck,
Such kitty cat luck
And catnapping bliss.
And there he stays,
Snoozing away,
While Missy’s gone for the day.
