Smykk deg! Gibberish? Not!

Yes, it’s Norwegian for “Adorn Yourself” (with jewelry)!

Gaia and cat hair jewelry has a small feature in the latest issue of KAMILLE, a Norwegian Magazine! He is looking pretty adorable wearing the I LOVE GAIA neckpiece!

I am not learned in Norwegian but in San Francisco one can easily partner up with a foreign speaker for a translation.

At the top of the page Gaia is looking coy donned in his heart-shaped hair necklace. His bubble says: Even YOU can wear this jewelry! But, will Gaia let it go? I think he is happy wearing it! Thank you very much!

Spiral*Fun!

A new cat hair necklace.

Elegant simplicity and fun.

First. Start with handfuls of Gaia the Ragamuffin’s meringue beautiful hair. Roll into tightly formed orbs. Five is a nice number.

Next. Add sparkling sea green wire. Twist wire around and around and around a stick. Voila! A spirally tube of wire.

Combine.

Last. Find the cat. He is the best model.

A Little Fur, A Little Steel . . . . . and then, New Earrings!

Here we have the quintessential name sake of this blog.

Thats my fur alright!

Titian. All steel

Next is the steel. This is Titian, a sculpture I made by crunching miled steel with my hands and knees. It is hand sanded and has a yellow patina in a few places. Size is 25″ high x 20″ wide and 7″ deep.

Well, I didn’t use the miles steel. Instead I used galvanized steel mesh, otherwise referred to as chicken wire. Each cage is wired shut with stainless steel.
